Add this product to your cart to demo the Virtuemart Shipping Estimator for the Virtuemart Standard Shipping Module.
This Demonstration is using the AJAX method of updating your cart. When you add this product to your cart, a popup window will give you the option to continue or to go to your cart.
If you go to your cart, you will see the option at the top of the cart to check your shipping on the cart contents. Click the link at the top to estimate the shipping cost of this product according to the settings in the Standard Shipping module. (Note: this component also works with USPS. More modules coming soon.)
Or, you can use the module link to the left to estimate shipping. The link is in a CorFun-coded module that works with the mini-cart to provide shipping estimates. You can use these two modules on all the pages of your site and combine with the AJAX update to make shopping a pleasant experience on your Virtuemart site.
For this demonstration, we are using EUR, but a default shipping country of United States - just to mix it up a little. You control both these options in the component configuration.
The shipping estimator works for any country around the world, and works with total content of the cart. A shopper can add a product, check shipping, add more product, check shipping again, etc.
This demo shop has a $500.00 minimum for free shipping. We have chosen to demonstrate the option of telling shoppers the minimum amount to qualify for free shipping. The estimator can also congratulate shoppers if they have met the minimum amount. These features are optional.
All verbiage you see demonstrated in the Virtuemart Shipping Estimator is completely configurable in the component configuration options.
Virtuemart Shipping Estimator also works for the USPS shipping module as well.
The link will take you to one of our production stores which uses the United States Postal Service for shipping calculations. The regular shopping cart method (non-AJAX) is used on that site.
Visit the product details page using the link below to see a screen print of the configuration options. You can easily translate the default English into any desired language.
